Altadena School Placed On Lockdown Following Bear Sighting

ALTADENA (CBS) — Aveson Charter School in Altadena was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon due to a bear sighting near the campus.

Students were released by grade level from the front of the school, which is located in the 1900 block of East Pinecrest Drive.

Traffic was reportedly backed up on nearby streets.

The bear was spotted on nearby Skyview Drive, but after deputies and police searched the area, the bear was nowhere to be found.
