LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly man who may require medical attention.
Police said in a department statement that Jose Salazar was last seen on Aug. 31, in the city of Signal Hill.
According to authorities, the 82-year-old left his Long Beach home in the 1000 block of East Market Street and was seen later that day.
The missing man, described in the statement as 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds.
He has black hair, brown eyes and last seen wearing a black, long-sleeved dress shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities said Salazar may need medicine and has been showing the early signs of Alzheimer’s disease.
Anyone with information as to Salazar’s whereabouts is asked to call Long Beach Police at (562) 435-6711.
