SUN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Five people, including four children, were transported to area hospitals on Sunday following a two-car crash on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in Sun Valley.
The accident on the northbound freeway occurred at Sheldon Street sometime after noon on Sunday.
The victims, identified as a woman and four children, were traveling in a sport utility vehicle that apparently overturned. Their injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, says ages of the children ranged from 3 to 13.
Humphrey said the driver of the second vehicle was not expected to be transported to a hospital.
