ANAHEIM (CBS) — Police report they have a suspect in custody in connection with a fatal stabbing in Anaheim.

Officers responded just after midnight to an anonymous call of a burglary in progress in the 800 block of North Zeyn Street near Anaheim Boulevard, said Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn.

Police found a man, whose age was not immediately available, in an alley.

The victim had suffered “significant stab wounds” and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, Dunn said.

“At this point we have no evidence there was a burglary,” he said.

Details about the suspect were not available.
