Man Stabs 19-Year-Old Repeatedly In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for the man who reportedly stabbed a 19-year-old multiple times in Santa Monica.

The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 13 in the 300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard near 4th Street, according to Sgt. Richard Lewis from the Santa Monica Police Department.

The victim told officers he was walking out of a restaurant with his girlfriend when the suspect, who had been walking in front of the couple, suddenly stabbed him.

The 19-year-old tried to run across the street, but fell down. He was then stabbed multiple times, said Lewis.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was seen fleeing on 4th Street towards Broadway. Surveillance video shows him running through the Santa Monica Place Mall, from the entrance at 3rd Street and Broadway.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic or  dark-skinned Caucasian man, mid 30's, 5'8", and 180 pounds. He was unshaven and wearing a dark colored painters type cap, dark t-shirt, dark shorts and dirty white shoes.
