WESTMINSTER (CBSLA.com) — A Westminster woman was arrested Monday for allegedly shooting her 24-year-old boyfriend.

Candace Hughes, 27, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, according to Westminster police officer Norma Vasquez.

The incident, which reportedly stemmed from a domestic dispute, happened shortly before 9 a.m. in the 8400 block of 23^rd Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after police found him with the gunshot wound.
