TARZANA (CBSLA.com) — One firefighter was able to put out a grass fire near the Ventura (101) Freeway in Tarzana on Sunday.
The fire, which was reported alongside the eastbound lanes of the freeway, broke out around 12:30 p.m. between Lindley Avenue and Balboa Boulevard.
Authorities initially reported the incident as a series of grass fires.
Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, said no structures had been threatened and no lanes were closed.
According to Humphrey, one firefighter was able to put out the blaze with a fire hose.
No further information was immediately available.
