SANTA PAULA (CBSLA.com) — Multiple earthquakes have been reported near the Santa Paula area of Ventura County.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the first quake was recorded at 7:45 a.m. Saturday. Its epicenter was five miles north-northwest of Santa Paula and 10 miles west of Fillmore.
It’s preliminary magnitude was measured at 3.0.
About a minute later, it was followed by a micro quake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.7. A third earthquake of the same magnitude hit four minutes later. It was recorded at 7:50 a.m.
There was no word of damage or injuries, according to the Santa Paula Police Department.
