HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating a high-profile home invasion that took place Thursday evening in the 1700 block of North Doheny near Nightingale Drive in Hollywood Hills.
A person was at the home when at least one armed robber entered the $10.9 million house through an unlocked door, according to authorities.
“Fortunately, no one was injured seriously,” Los Angeles Police Department Det. Scott Smith said. “Unfortunately, some items were removed from the house.”
Police are unable to give detailed information due to the nature of the case, but authorities said this type of robbery is highly unusual for the area.
“We would rather not go into too many details right now at this time. Obviously this is an ongoing investigation. We still have a couple of interviews to do,” Smith said.
