STUDIO CITY ( — Glenn Panitz fell into baking when he started bringing desserts to his monthly poker game.

He now has a flagship store, Xtreme Desserts, in Studio City.

“It was just one of those things; one person would bring the beer, one would bring the pizza, and stuff, and I just started making desserts.” he told CBS2’s Suzanne Marques.

After the recession hit the management and casting industry, Panitz tried real estate.

“We all kind of know where that went, it kind of imploded. I didn’t want to go back to selling real estate, I wanted to kind of be creative,” he said.

His creativity led to the opening and success of Xtreme Desserts.
