LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Stevie Wonder has filed for divorce from fashion designer Kai Millard, with whom he has two children.

Wonder, whose real name is Stevland Morris, filed the petition Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences at the reason for the breakdown of the marriage.

The couple married on Sept. 1, 2001 and separated on Oct. 10, 2009.

Wonder, 62, wants join custody of the couple’s sons, 10-year-old Kailand and 7-year-old Mandla.
