CITY OF INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives are investigating “suspicious circumstances” after a toddler was found unresponsive Tuesday morning.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics responded to a home in the 16900 block of Turk Drive in La Puente just before 2:30 a.m. for a “baby not breathing call,” officials said in a statement.

The 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive by officials and was immediately transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, KNX 1070’s Jon Baird reported.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau were also sent to the hospital to investigate. They are not releasing what injuries the child sustained.
