Angels Acquire Zack Greinke

ANAHEIM (CBS) -- The Angels have reeled in the biggest pitcher on the trade market by acquiring Zack Greinke from the Milwaukee Brewers for Jean Segura and two minor leaguers.

Greinke, 28, has a 3.44 ERA, and is coming off a seven inning performance against the Philadelphia Phillies where he allowed one run, while striking out five.

Milwaukee will receive SS Jean Segura and two Double A pitchers.

Greinke returns to the American League, where he pitched from 2004-2010 with the Kansas City Royals.

"It should be fun. They are a great team," Greinke told the Associated Press in Milwaukee after the deal was completed. "After the first month of the season, they have been one of the best teams in baseball. There is a lot of talent there. A lot of great players. The pitching staff will be pretty incredible."

Many organizations rank Segura as the Angels' top-prospect

Greinke will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Ariel Pena and Johnny Hellweg will be heading to Milwaukee with Segura.
