LAKE ELSINORE (CBS)  — A missing Lake Elsinore man was the victim of a homicide, authorities said Wednesday.

Leopoldo Navarrete, 58, was reported missing by family members on June 14.

His body was found on July 19 near the intersection of Akley and Gillette streets, in an area known as Lakeland Village,

Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Reno would not disclose the cause of death or how investigators confirmed Navarete was murdered.
