ST. LOUIS (CBS) – Luis Cruz hit a three run homer and Chad Billingsley pitched six strong innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers won their fifth straight game, beating the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-3.
Billingsley went six innings, allowing one run to pick-up his fifth win of the season.

St. Louis had a 1-0 lead, when Cruz belted his second career homer, giving the Dodgers a 3-1 in the second inning.
In the seventh, Mark Ellis’ double scored AJ Ellis and Tony Gwynn Jr. and the Dodgers took a 5-1 lead into the eighth.
The Cardinals cut the Dodgers’ lead to 5-3 when Carlos Beltran took Ronald Belisario’s fastball into the stands for his 22nd homer of the season.
Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 19th save of the season.
