LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The original farmer’s market at Third and Fairfax is celebrating its 78th birthday with its “Taste of Farmers Market.”
The farmer’s market began when a dozen farmers would park their trucks on a field to sell fresh produce to local residents.
Now, the Farmers Market is home to food stalls, sit-down restaurants, food vendors and produce markets.
The “Taste of Farmers Market” will include samplings from 60 restaurants and grocers, strolling musicians and special menu pricing. The event begins Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Admission is $40 per person, and tickets are available at the door.
