Joel Stein Talks About His New Book, 'Man Made: A Stupid Quest For Masculinity'
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Are you on a quest to become more of a manly man?
Joel Stein stopped by KCAL9 Monday to discuss his new book, Man Made: A Stupid Quest For Masculinity, and his adventure to become a "manly" man.
Stein, a Time humor columnist, first started this quest when he felt he needed to step it up and upgrade his manliness to be a role model for his son. His quest began after writing a list of "11 new Herculean Labors", which included a 24-hour shift with Los Angeles firefighters while wearing "vulnerable-toed shoes" instead of boots, a ride in a borrowed Lamborghini, hunting, overcoming his fear of dogs, home repairs with his father-in-law, and three days at a Marine boot camp.
