Fontana Police Searching For Liquor Store Bandits

FONTANA (CBS) — Police are searching for two armed men who held up a liquor store in Fontana Saturday night.

The robbery took place around 7:15 p.m. at Fontana Liquor & Mini Market on Sierra Avenue when the suspects, who had their faces covered, confronted two employees with handguns.

The 33-year-old and 18-year-old employees called 911 after running away and locking themselves in a bathroom.

After a few minutes, the victims determined that the robbers fled with an unknown amount of money from the cash drawer.

Officials describe the suspects as black men in their 20s, who were wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black bandanas and dark sunglasses.
