BURBANK (CBS) — Construction on a new transportation center at Bob Hope Airport will began Friday.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held at 10 a.m. for the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center that is intended to ease travel through the airport.
The center will directly connect the passenger terminal with new rental car facilities, a bus station as well as existing Metrolink and Amtrak train stations.
The $112.6 million project is scheduled to take two years to complete and is the largest capital project in the airport’s history.
