LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A leaky pipe was behind a major traffic headache along one of the city’s busiest freeway interchanges on Wednesday.
Two northbound lanes of the Pasadena (110) Freeway just south of the Golden State (5) Freeway were closed in Lincoln Heights after a pipe was found to be leaking into the Elysian Park tunnel.
SKY9′s Derek Bell reported a Sigalert was issued at around 12:42 p.m. as crews worked to shut off the pipe. A crack in the ceiling structure was also reported.
At one point, traffic along the 110 freeway could be seen backed up for several miles.
