LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Actor Giovanni Ribisi and model Agyness Deyn married quietly over the weekend, a publicist has confirmed.

The “Ted” actor and Deyn happened to be in line for a marriage license last Friday at the L.A. County Registrar’s East L.A. Branch with the general manager of Crown City Media, Tammy DeVine, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The wedding was a surprise because it was not widely known that the two were dating in the first place.

DeVine had recognized Ribisi as he was “passionately kissing” Deyn, the Times reported.

“I asked if the two had been together for a while,” DeVine wrote on the Crown City News Blog, “and they looked at each other and kind of smiled, and he vaguely said, ‘a while,’”

Ribisi’s publicist confirmed their marriage Thursday, according to the Times.
