VENICE (CBS) — Two arrests have been made in connection with the death of a youth pastor who was gunned down in front of his home last week.
Kevin Duayne Green, 28, and 22-year-old Hopeton Beresford Parsley were arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department. The exact date of their arrest was not released by police.
Oscar Duncan, 23, was fatally shot at 10:30 p.m. on June 4 in the 600 block of Santa Clara Avenue, according to the LAPD.
Duncan and his girlfriend had just returned home from Bible study when an older model white car pulled up.
“The victim walked toward the vehicle to see who it was and suddenly one person from the vehicle fired a shot, hitting Oscar in the head,” Lt. John Radke said.
The Los Angeles City Council announced a $50,000 reward to help solve the case last week.
Duncan worked as a youth minister in Inglewood and at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice.
Mug shots of the two suspects were not released. Police plan to hold a news conference Tuesday or Wednesday to release more information.
