HEMET (CBS) — A smoky brush fire that was sparked Friday in Hemet should be fully contained this evening, according to fire officials.
The wildfire near Indian Creek Road has reportedly scorched more than 75 acres.
Fire crews in Riverside County are battling the blaze by ground and air.
Authorities say no structures are threatened.
There have been no reports of injuries.
Meanwhile, investigators now say a motorcycle crash is responsible for touching off a 500-acre fire in Castaic.
The CHP shut down the nortbound 5 Freeway for several hours Friday.
That fire is reportedly 60 percent contained as of 8 p.m. on Saturday evening.
Authorities say there are no longer active flames and they are in “mop-up mode.”
The cause of the motorcycle crash is under investigation.
