Kick off summer by heading down to Exposition Park on Saturday night, where you can take in a popular movie, dine on the offerings from the city’s favorite food trucks, and listen to some of L.A.’s hottest bands.
The Street Food Cinema summer event series kicks off on May 26 and runs each Saturday night through Labor Day weekend. The first movie shown on the 40 by 22-foot screen will be Napoleon Dynamite, and the opening night festivities include free blankets to the first 100 guests and a Napoleon Dynamite dance-off contest (first prize: season tickets to the entire festival).
Opening night food trucks include After School Special Truck, Don Chow Tacos, Grill ‘Em All, Kogi BBQ, Munchie Machine, and A ROCKinICE — with more to come. The food truck schedule will be different every week, so check the website to see what’s on the menu. Outside food IS allowed in, so your choices are really unlimited.
Tickets are $10 and include include access to food trucks, entertainment, park amenities and the movie. Group rates are also available for 4 people or more.
