Heated Dispute May Have Led To Stabbing Death Of Man, 27

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 27-year-old man was found stabbed to death in what police believe was a heated dispute in the mid-Wilshire area.

The body of an Asian male was found in the 300 block of North Orlando Avenue. The discovery was made about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives believe the victim, whose name was withheld, was involved in some sort of dispute with the suspect, identified by police as 29-year-old Richard Herrera of Los Angeles.

Police said Herrera was arrested and booked for murder.

An investigation was ongoing as the exact motive for the killing remained unknown.

Authorities said the deceased was clad only in women's panties.
