LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 27-year-old man was found stabbed to death in what police believe was a heated dispute in the mid-Wilshire area.

The body of an Asian male was found in the 300 block of North Orlando Avenue. The discovery was made about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives believe the victim, whose name was withheld, was involved in some sort of dispute with the suspect, identified by police as 29-year-old Richard Herrera of Los Angeles.

Police said Herrera was arrested and booked for murder.

An investigation was ongoing as the exact motive for the killing remained unknown.
