Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 16)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — It looks like a dry and warm Wednesday. An off-shore flow is kicking in, which will pump up temperatures.

The ridge of high pressure in the Pacific has nudged over slightly to bring us the northerly winds and warmer air mass.

Valley temperatures will reach into the 90s today, especially the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.

We will see mostly clear skies.  The warm up is only for one day, because there is a trough moving in right behind this high pressure ridge. So look for cooling on Thursday and even more cooling on Friday.

In fact, the marine layer could be so thick on Friday that we catch a little drizzle from it. Look for some rebounding over the weekend with slightly warmer temperatures.

Beaches -low 70s
Basin -low 80s
Valleys -  low to mid 90s
Deserts - mid to upper 90s
Mountains - mid 70s
