Original Publishers Of 'Fifty Shades' Talk About The Rise Of Erotic Books

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Amanda Hayward and author Gene Doucette of The Writer's Coffee Shop Publishing House, which brought E.L. James' explosive "Fifty Shades of Grey" to market, visited KCAL9 Tuesday.

Fifty Shades of Grey, the unassuming "mommy porn" title that took the world by storm earlier this year when it hit #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List, was picked up by Vintage Books for a multimillion dollar sum, and sparked a bidding war between the biggest film production companies in the world.

Beebe and Hayward talked about why erotica e-books are resonating with today's readers, as well as future projects.
