STUDIO CITY (CBS) — CrossFit is the hot new fitness trend that is currently taking the world by storm! It works by challenging the body with an ever-changing set of exercises crammed into an intense, 20-minute “Workout of the Day.”
Cheryl Brost stopped by KCAL9 Friday to talk about exercise, nutrition and her upcoming appearance at the 2012 CrossFit Games.
The Games are a grueling, five-month series of extreme fitness competitions based on CrossFit training. Their goal is to determine the “Fittest Man and Woman on Earth.”
Important Nutrition Tips:
● Follow a clean eating approach that includes meat, veggies, some fruit and nuts. Eggs, sweet potatoes and bacon are favorites.
● Limit dairy, grain, and sugar.
● To optimize our health, use some key supplements, including Vitamin C, Fish oil, B-complex and Vitamin D.
