LONG BEACH (CBS) — A young dolphin became trapped Tuesday afternoon in the Berthe of the Long Beach Port.
Port officials were working to free the mammal by cutting a hole through a metal wall.
It is believed the dolphin entered the port by swimming over a fence during high tide.
On Monday, a wayward dolphin that had been surviving in the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach returned to sea. It was first spotted in the wetlands April 27.
