OXNARD (CBS) — A Ventura County middle school teacher has been fired after appearing in a pornographic movie.
The Oxnard School District board voted to fire Stacie Halas, 32, Wednesday night in a closed doors session. She taught science to seventh and eighth-grade students at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School.
Halas, of Camarillo, has been on paid leave since allegations surrounding her involvement in hard core pornography surfaced in early March.
Halas apparently made the film, which was posted online, before she was hired by the district in 2009.
She has 30 days to appeal her dismissal. Halas will remain on paid leave until the matter is resolved.
