PHOENIX (CBS) Kobe Bryant will sit out Saturday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns due to  tenosynovitis on his left shin.

Head trainer Gary Vitti said the injury occurred last Saturday against the New Orleans Hornets. He battled through the injury for three games and after limping and hurting during Friday nights loss to the Houston Rocket, Vitti recommended that he sit out.

Mike Brown started Devin Ebanks in place of Kobe.

He will be evalutaed again in New Orleans on Monday. There is no timetable for his return.
