Former Nickelodeon Star Amanda Bynes Arrested For DUI

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Actress Amanda Bynes has been arrested for a driving under the influence after clipping a sheriff’s car in West Hollywood.

Bynes was arrested around 3 a.m. Friday after her black BMW was pulled over.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy was attempting to turn right on Santa Monica Boulevard when Bynes’ car “allegedly collided with the right rear quarter panel of the radio car. There was minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles,” Lt. William Nash said.

No one was injured in the collision, according to sheriff’s officials.

Bynes was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. She posted $5,000 around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The “What I Like About You” actress just celebrated her 26th birthday on Tuesday and has been frequently seen lately on the Hollywood party scene.

On Mar. 17, Bynes was pulled over for talking on her cell phone while driving, but took off while the police officer was writing her up.
