Calling All Angels! Join The OC Register's 'News Mob' Opening Weekend!

ANAHEIM (CBS) — You may have heard of "flash mobs" or "cash mobs." Throughout the day Friday and into the weekend, The Orange County Register is unveiling the first-ever "News Mob" in Friday's newspaper, online and through its smartphone and iPad apps to celebrate Opening Day of Angels baseball season!

More than 100 reporters, editors, photographers, and representatives from nearly every department in the Register will be generating Angels-themed stories, blog posts, tweets, photographs and videos before the Angels 7:05pm Opening Day game. Journalists who cover business, rock n roll, television, movies, cities, travel, human interest, parenting, food will all get into the act. There will even be a story about an Orange County man who will be proposing (SURPRISE!) to his girlfriend during the 7th inning stretch! More reporters will be involved for this News Mob than when the Angels won the World Series 10 years ago.

Fans are invited to join the News Mob send in favorite memories and pictures of themselves in Angels gear —or even Dodger blue as a friendly reminder of their other favorite team -- with your name, city, and why you're an Angels fan through the following ways:

-Visit ocregister.com
-email the Register's Angels Editor Keith Sharon at ksharon@ocregister.com
