CANYON COUNTRY (CBS) — Authorities Saturday continued to search for a man they say assaulted and sexual battered a woman before making off with her purse in Canyon Country.
The incident occurred about 8:15 a.m. Thursday in the 18000 block of Sundowner Way.
According to police, that’s where the victim encountered the suspect – a Hispanic male believed to be between 25 to 30 years old.
Police say the suspect assaulted and sexually battered the woman but did not rape her. She fought back and he fled with her purse.
The suspect is described as 5’10”, weighs 180 pounds and was wearing a red shirt, black shorts and a black jacket.
He apparently was spotted in the area moments before the attack exposing himself to another person, authorities said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Campbell at (661) 255-1121.
