15-Year-Old Girl Reports Attempted Kidnapping In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBS) —  A 15 year-old female was walking to school Wednesday when she said two men in a van attempted to kidnap her, according to Riverside police.

The unidentified teen was walking in the area of Phoenix Avenue and Ensenada Way in the Central Neighborhood of Riverside, when a van pulled in front of her and blocked her path.

She said two occupants of the van grabbed her and pulled her into the vehicle.

The victim fought back and managed to escape. As she fled to safety, the suspects -- including a motorist -- were last seen driving northbound on Phoenix Avenue.

The three suspects are described as Latino males between the ages of thirty to forty. One suspect is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, thick build, clean shaven with dark hair. He has a scar that extends from his lower lip to the left of his chin. He was last seen wearing a red short sleeve t-shirt and medium blue pants. Another suspect is described as having dark hair with unshaven facial hair. The suspects spoke both English and Spanish.

The suspect vehicle is an unknown make, older full size van, described as navy blue with faded paint spots on the passenger side. The vehicle has tinted windows on the back doors and no side windows or doors.
