Crews Work To Restore Power For 4,000 Dark Homes

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Utility crews Monday worked to restore service to about 4,000 customers in various parts of Los Angeles and Orange counties, whose power was interrupted because of the weekend storm.

Affected areas included Santa Monica, with 1,831 customers without service; Santa Ana, with 986; Rolling Hills, with 137, and Rancho Palos Verdes with 148.

Since Saturday, about 145,000 customers throughout SCE's jurisdiction reported some interruption of electrical service due to the storm.

Jane Galbraith of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said all DWP outages from the weekend storm were cleared up as of early Monday morning.
