Manhunt Underway For Robber Who Killed Vitamin Shop Employee
HUNTINGTON PARK (CBS) — Authorities are searching for a robber who killed a vitamin store worker Thursday night.
Customers who entered Global Nature, which is located at 2703 E. Florence Ave., found the victim bound and gagged in a back room at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Detectives, who believe the woman died of strangulation or suffocation, say she was not breathing when they arrived.
"Doors were open; it was right around six o'clock in evening," Det. David Cassidy of the Huntington Park Police Department told CBS2. "This was very bold for the suspect to be able tie up the victim. I'm sure if he would have just asked for the money, she would have just given the money out of the cash register to him."
Officials are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact the Huntington Park Police Department.
