GLENDALE, Ariz. (CBS/AP) -- Los Angeles Angels starter Ervin Santana left Wednesday’s game after he was hit by a line drive.

Santana was hit on his right shoulder by a line drive by Alexei Ramirez. Santana was able to field the ball and throw out Ramirez in the second inning with Los Angeles tied 0-0 with the Chicago White Sox.

The Angels staff checked on Santana, and he walked off the mound. Eddie McKiernan replaced Santana.
