LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Proceeds from the sale of pet lover’s license plates will go to help fund free or low-cost spay and neuter surgeries across California.
One local Girl Scout troop (namely Burbank Troop 9336) is working hard to spread the word about the plates and raising awareness about the importance of helping to stem the overpopulation of pets in the Southland.
Four million dogs and cats have to euthanized each year in America because shelters are overcrowded.
Production of the new pet lover’s plates will begin after 7,.500 have been pre-ordered.
For more information about the plates, click here. Or call 800-390-1541.
The plates are $50 standard and $98 personalized.
