No Oxnard Parents Show Up To Protest Teacher’s Alleged Hardcore Porn Career

OXNARD (CBS) — Parents were invited to a school board meeting Wednesday evening to express their concerns after an Oxnard middle school teacher was placed on paid leave for allegedly dabbling in hardcore pornography.

However, not one parent with a student at Haydock Intermediate School attended, according to CBS2’s Suraya Fadel.

The school board confirms parents were invited to the regularly scheduled meeting, but acknowledges that no extra effort was made to let them know they could address the situation.

“It was very unfortunate that we learned from both students and staff at Haydock Intermediate School that a teacher at the school may have participated in a pornographic video,” Oxnard School District Superintendent Jeff Chancer said at Wednesday’s meeting.

Victor Manriquez, who has an 11-year-old daughter, says he felt morally obligated to show up. Manriquez told Fadel in Spanish that he was disappointed in parents who failed to attend the meeting and appear to be uninterested in the scandal that’s unfolding at Haydock.

Officials say the 30-year-old science teacher, who is not facing any criminal charges, will remain unidentified to protect her privacy.

Teachers and staffers from other Oxnard schools have been instructed not to talk to reporters about the scandal.

This teacher needs to get a lawyer and sue the schoolboard. What she is doing is not illegal but if she was paid and never declared it then she has a problem with the IRS.
What she does in her own time is her business, the school board has business telling her what she can and can’t do to earn money.

    • Andrew

AND that is one of many reasons the education system needs to be replaced , not fixed , there”s been enough time and money wasted trying to fix it , and its completely broken , beyond repair broken . And it IS the parents business . !

      • jim

Yes it is the parents business. The parents that allowed the minors to view the porn should be thrown in jail for child neglect and child endangerment. Then the children should be awarded to the state

      • badwhisky

The education of our children needs to be the business of the local comunities we live in not the federal government. Parents need to become commited to raising responsible adults and should be involved in the lives of their children, that is what is broken.

      • paul heart

need to go check all teachers , theres even ones working no credentials , illegal mexicans etc .

      • Paco Jerte

Paul Heart you are a moron. The issue is a teacher committing an “immoral” act, not her ethnicity or legal status. It appears that you never went to school based on your poor grammar and lack of knowledge. Teachers must pass a background check before permitted to be around children. You big dummy.

    • Vince

Yeah I’m guessing you are one of those sex hating Santorum supporters. This isn’t any of your business, get the hell out of people’s sex lives you perv.

    • Tsar Bomba

She did it in her own time, so it’s none of your business. I doubt she’s teaching porn to kids in science class, so what’s your real issue w/ this situation?

    • Macfad

You know, I’m pretty sick and tired of the measuring stick to gauge all moral and ethical behavior being the legality of the act. The law does not determine morality. Whether or not it was legal is irrelevant – she has lost all moral credibility. I’d love to see what kind of respect and control she will have over those kids when she pretends her past won’t come back to haunt her. …..( “Ok, class let’s discuss the Pythagorean theory…if a equals the length of the hypotenuse..and b equals the length of…..” Jr. High Johnny “Uh ,excuse me teach, what’s the length of the biggest **** you ever sucked off? Class erupts into juvenile laughter.)

      • k

I recall someone saying he who is without sin should cast the first stone. I also recall he hung around with an ex prostitute.

      • LA_SUX

Why would the students show respect when the teach doesn’t respect herself. You’re kidding yourself if you think something like this wouldn’t distract you from learning at that age.

      • Jacob

Wow, Its just porn. Don’t we remember how we became parents? if we keep telling kids that sex is bad and shameful, we are gonna ruin our species. Sex is great, in fact its probably one of the best things in life. People, please stop brain washing your children.

      • FSM_47

Tiffany Six is the young woman;s ‘stage’ name. Came out in an earlier article.

    • IrvTheLiquidator

I saw the porn in question.. it took place several years ago. I don’t think this should still be an issue. It was obviously something this person did in order to pay her way through school. Besides she was very good at it…

    • TommyB.

      Tsar Bomba ,
My issue is that public school kids clearly deserve better teachers than a woman who’s other job involves getting shamelessly gangb*nged on film. This is hardly the sort of person who should be shaping young minds, and despite some misguided people who feel that this is a resume enhancer, this woman is emblematic of the low standards people have grown accustomed to when dealing with government schools.

    • Morris

The only problem is that they don’t have a morality clause in the contract. It is her business and her time. If that is how she wants to get her kicks, fine. So long as she does not bring it into the class room why should it matter.

      • August

Who says being a porn actress is immoral; it’s a legal business that pays a lot of taxes & provides jobs…..

Have you EVER seen a porn?

      • Darrel

Apparently you watch them a LOT.

    • oscar

fortunately, morality clauses only cover your actions while you are employed, NOT things you did years before they hired you. The district was not within their rights to fire her UNLESS she made the porn while she was employed by the district.

    • Fredddie

      i disagree.
I would not want that nasty broad to serve me a drink much less teach my kids.

      • craig

Says the guy with the biggest porn stash…….lol

    • baysiders

Care to post a copy of that contract, Morris? If its a public school, I bet there is one. And as for you, Oscar, I highly doubt you’re a lawyer, so your legal opinion of contract law is just that, an opinion – not fact. Thanks for pretending to be an authority on contract law.

    • MartyB

She serves at the pleasure of the school district according to established rules of conduct not to mention an ethical and moral standard by which all teachers are measured. Only a nincompoop would defend this woman…oh, sorry, didn’t mean to offend…on second thought, yes, yes I did mean to offend, nincompoop.

      • jim

Well we should also jail the kids parents for child neglect and child endangerment, since the parents broke federal allow and allowed the minors to view porn, then since no adult is in the house the kids should become ward of the state.

    • no

STFU. I don’t want to educate your stupid children on my dime, *period*. Pay for your own spawn’s education.

    • vance

it’s been reported in the news that there is no morality clause in her contract. and even if there were- it wouldn’t apply to the video that was made when she was a student, not a teacher.. And she probably has less student loan debt than the prudes.

    • Eric

She was never in the race, but thanks for playing.

    • Wendy Bisset

Her time, her business, 110%. People in this country need to get over the fact that humans are sexual creatures and stop worrying about what they do outside of their employment. If she was a factory-worker would people be so upset? There is zero accusation of her doing anything inappropriate in the execution of her work. Teachers should not have to live like ascetics.

    • JLanceCombs

Don’t care about the porn teacher, myself. But, I agree with TommyB says, that what taxes pay for are the business of the tax payer. This is not a “stick your nose into people’s sex lives” issue. This is a “what is my money paying for?” issue.

    • Jim in Houston

Typical of a morally bankrupt libaturd!

      • Mark in Houston

What’s wrong with these people in California? Please, all of you stay in California. I’m not trying to change any of you, I just don’t want you infected the rest of us.

      • AJ

Mark in Houston, give me a break. Teachers having relationships with students happens all over the country–including one accused in HOUSTON a few weeks ago (28 years old raping an 8th grader).

That is WAY worse than what this teacher in CA did, and I don’t see people saying “please stay in Houston as to not infect the rest of us.”

      • Giggity-goo

Morally bankrupt? The difference between most libs and conservatives is liberals admit to enjoying sex, porn, weed, booze, whatever. Conservatives condemn these things in public and just do it in private.

    • LetsGetReal

What a dumb story. So much of the news is made up after the coup and cover up. Unelected officials took over Washington and the media. They think you can’t handle the truth. Fact of the matter is we have no democracy, president, and freedom of press is an illusion.

Our next election is shaping up to be as big of a sham as the last. Do you know why Sarah Palin’s bus tour was really canceled? Do you know why she stayed 30 miles away from the second debate and chose the death of Steve Jobs to announce that she’s not running? Know what leaked out? Sarah Palin and Cain aren’t in the race for the same reason, the truth leaked out. Search PalinsDirtyLittleSecret for the biggest cover up in history

    • mugsy

the parents have the morality issue, i feel sorry for the kids, the parents didn’t care enough to even attend a meeting on the matter, so sad for the children.

    • Republicrat

Your parents had sex. Shocking huh?

    • Keebler

TommyB…… There are doctors in this world whom have bad drug additctions. You have teachers that are sleeping with school children and on drugs. What this woman did for money has nothing to do with her abilities to teach. She may very well be a very educated person and smarter than you. Do you teach your kids anything worth of value? You may want to think real hard about that before you answer because best I can tell, you are an idiot.

    • Hugh Jass

Maybe if the state stopped cutting teaching jobs and lowering the wages of our teachers, then they wouldn’t have to get second jobs.

    • mini meme

The headline says that no parents showed up for the meeting, but then, there is a paragraph towards the end of the article that mentions…

“Victor Manriquez, who has an 11-year-old daughter, says he felt morally obligated to show up. Manriquez told Fadel in Spanish that he was disappointed in parents who failed to attend the meeting and appear to be uninterested in the scandal that’s unfolding at Haydock.”

So did this parent show up at the meeting? Was he the only one? Why is this parent speaking Spanish and not English? Why does this parent feel morally obligated to show up at a school board meeting regarding the private, legal activities of the teacher in question?

      also…
How were students able to discover pornagraphic videos of this teacher? Did they view them at home, or did they view the porn at school? Who is responsible for allowing minors access to porn? The parents? The school? The internet provider? The municipality? The state? Are any of the aforementioned entities being questioned or held accountable for their culpability in all this? Is it a crime for minors to view porn? Should minors who view porn be removed from their home? removed from the school? arrested? Is it a crime for a parent, school system, teacher or internet provider to allow minors to access porn?

As you can see, there are a lot of UNANSWERED QUESTIONS HERE ;)

    • GoldenRudy

So, I guess if this teacher was an officer holder or just regularly attended meetings of a white supremacist group, on her own time, you would not have a problem with her remaining a public school teacher? Really?

    • carnut

      Agreed.
Most school districts have a morality clause as part of the teacher contract to prevent this kind of problem. It sounds like a school district in California does not. shock of all shockers.

I have problem with her doing porn if thats what she wants to, but if it was part of her contract , then thats another issue.

    • joe

Anyone who has sex or had sex while not being married, shouldn’t be living in this society or even on earth, yes?

    • Southern Man

My God! Miramonte School just had to replace an ENTIRE staff because of a lack of MORAL fiber! When children are involved, the school board, and PARENTS have every right(and obligation) to have their noses in the business of people who are responsible for the children.

    • John

Mimi – This is what it said: “not one parent with a student at Haydock Intermediate School attended” The article then says that Mr. Martinez has an 11-year old daughter, NOT that she attends that school.

    • badwhisky

If our tax dollars were not paying for the porn and there were no laws broken then she should be left alone.

I hear Bobby Gentry singing Hopper Valley PTA in the background for some reason.

    • sexism morality

If porn is a problem, we must ban it! but unfortunately it is accepted that human trafficking in condemning the victims of this system, there will always be women raped, abused, who fall in forfeiture or other

    • sexism morality

people who have been advertising in this case are the dogs, if this woman has no right to forget, it risks losing more than his job! each pig who masturbated in front of a porn n ‘is not allowed to judge. Even Jesus chose as a former prostitute girlfriend, Madeleine, he said “the first who has not sin cast the first stone”

      • blackcurry

[...] No Oxnard Parents Show Up To Protest Teacher’s Alleged Hard Core Porn Career (losangeles.cbslocal.com) [...]

  • bob

I think she dabbled in adult video well before she became a teacher. now if this had been a guy in adult video I bet the reaction would have been different

    • Macfad

In a morals clause, it doesn’t matter “when”. It refers to all past, present and future behavior while employed in the vocation of an educator.

      • Bob

There is no morals clause in California teachers (and most others) contracts.

  • Chuey

I wish we had teachers like this when I was in school….ya know why there were no parents to protest? CAUSE NOBODY CARES!!!!!!!

  • jim

i wonder what rush would say

    • Barry

Don’t know about Rush, but Bill Maher thinks we should just leave the stupid c**t alone.

    • Griefman

      “nice tah tahs”

    • Martha

      “escapades”

    • Martha

Rush would say thank you for not forcing the rest of us to pay for her sexual escapadess .. (one can be libertine – as is Rush – and still be against demanding other people support our pleasures and habits).

      • MartyB

How do you know he’s a libertine? Is it part of your daily fantasy fare? I’ll bet you’re Martha the Miilf of webcam fame. Were you a teacher too?

  • carlos

i know who the teacher is and i saw her videos. pretty lady. it’s unfortunate.

    • Martha

      Unfortunate in what way?

  • John Doe

A five minute search online will tell you who she is. I know who she is.

  • bob

it is los angeles after all ..cesspool of the west.

    • Reverend Justito

Actually it’s Oxnard, which is located north of Los Angeles in Republican friendly Ventura County. Perhaps you should do some homework before you leave uneducated comments on news articles.

      • MartyB

Yes, you’re right, he should have said, “It’s California after all…cesspool of the west.” That would have been more accurate.

    • dan

next thing is no plastic surgery? in Cali?

  • James

Its nobody’s business. Would be a different story if she was sexually harrasing the students. lol…and I agree where was this type of teacher when I was in school. http://www.savethemoon.net

    • baysiders

Never heard of a Morality Clause in a contract? The school is well within their rights.

      • Shelley

I consider it immoral that people ratted her out.

      • baysiders

I consider it immoral that you think its immoral for people to rat her out.

      • recursion

I consider it immoral that you think it’s immoral that she think’s it’s immoral for people to rat this educator out.

      • jim

@ baysiders It’s immoral that the parents of the children watching the porn which is illegal for a minor to view are not in jail for child neglect and child endangerment!

    • THE ARBITER

      ANOTHER IDIOT HEARD FROM.

  • bob kettering
  • TommyB.

This gross porno degenerate is exactly the kind of low caliber people that government public schools employ. Its amazing to me that so many of you people continue to send your own children off to these public school dungeons. Take some responsibility for your family!

    • AnnoyedAtTrolls

Degenerate? You’re a grown man and go by “Tommy.” Go Trololol somewhere else. Public schools are hardly dungeons.

      • TommyB.

Nonsense, public schools are absolutely filthy and filled with low class union teachers who moonlight in pornos among other disgraces. The government public schools have been a continual failure since inception and none of your replies will change the facts.

    • dan

I was SHOCKED when I realized 90% of PRIVATE teachers are trying and WANT to get in the public school system. I was paying alot of money to send my kids to private school, then found out their teachers are the ones who cannot or have not gotten in the public schools yet. ( a little LOWER of a caliber usually), THEN.. I found out my kids were going to school with kids that were getting VOUCHERS and generally, the kind we hope our kids do not hang with. It is unfortunate, but they were welfare kids, like I say UNFORTUNATE, but not always the BEST kids, if you wanna lump em all together.. don’t be so QUICK, to get on your high horse…….

      • OnTheWhip

Umm, I call BS. Is this your personal poll? Or maybe it’s a Soros poll? MSNBC?

      • Know it all

I would really love to see the data that you used to formulate your analysis.

I will be SHOCKED to learn that you made these stats up in your head?

    • JoeyJoeJo

Hey Tommy, remember when those wicked and evil public school teachers crashed the stock market, wiped out 60+% of every 401K in the US, secured 100′s of billions in risky home loans that defaulted, took over $1 trillion in taxpayer-funded bailouts, caused the worst oil spill in the history of the continental United States, gave themselves billions in bonuses, and paid absolutely no taxes?

Yeah……. me neither……. I must be thinking of other people….. never mind.

      • MorganGray

Oh, yes, you mean Obama’s Democrat donors?
The ones who gave money to Barry, and Barney Frank, and Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi? Those bankers?

You really need to stop watching network news, there Joey.

    • Tommy’s right hand

She had sex, moron, just like the rest of us. You too even. That is if you spent time away from message boards. And you’ve Google-ed her already too. So preach on, moral citizen. Doing a bang up job so far. Jesus loves you.

      • OnTheWhip

Ummm, most of the “rest of us” don’t post it online our encounters. But since you’re so proud, what’s your screen name so we can watch you?

      • MorganGray

Right, she had sex, just like the rest of us.

        Except…

The rest of us didn’t get paid to have sex (gee… I think there is a term for that)
The rest of us didn’t allow someone to film it.
The rest of us didn’t allow that person to post it to the internet.
The rest of us aren’t public school teachers.

She made a bad decision. She is paying for it now. She should accept her punishment and not go whining to the press about it, or crawling to the courts to sue the district.

She was an adult when she got paid to have sex on camera (still… there is a term for that). She knew what she was doing. She got caught. She paid the price.
        End of story.

      • patson

I don’t think most of us have had sex for money on camera.

  • Lenny

You got to be kidding me, he News is so negativley slanted its scary. So what she does porn, I bet she can still teach kids about science. Also Her name has already been released. This news channel needs to fire their producers.

  • SheilaJ

I’m not sure what the story is about. Seems like they blame the lack of participation on uninformed parents. But I think parents realize this is a non issue. Funny how she must have been able to earn more money as a teacher..haha

  • Binky

Just don’t give her the bum’s rush!

  • Curmudgeon10

Enough of bizzaro world, please. She appears on the internet in sex acts, but her name is withheld to protect her “privacy?” Doesn’t everyone in that school know her name? You morons need a better explanation than “privacy.”

  • johnnyb

You mean to tell me that the only one that showed up was a parent that didnt even speak english? L.A is the worst place on earth!

    • RT

It’s not LA, it is just being reported by CBS-LA.

  • Michael McSpick

I would have to see the evidence to make any kind of an educated comment, especially at a school board meeting.

  • jay

I’m surprised parents, and readers didn’t show up in support of the teacher. The article says her name is withheld, yet there are other sources where you can find this information.. and when you do and google it, you’ll see that students were well aware of her “ex porn star” status as far back as 2009..

  • Jonathan

What simply happened to start all this is I’m sure an authority in the school or educational system of that area tried to take advantage of this woman for her past, and when she turned them down they got her fired over this. That’s most likely what happened.

  • Michael Feldman

school board in california out of touch with real parents, now who ever could have expected that?

  • JD

all the dads in the district destroyed the notices..

  • hillcoguy

If it was on the net, she or the man she was “seeing” in the video (he had a very penetrating stare), put it there and BOTH probably approved. She shoudln’t feel down in the mouth about it, her male counter part had a nice pizza surprise for her, obviously, he gave hump!

  • Morey Ladini

No matter, there’s no way she could maintain a classroom or command respect in her present school. Especially a MIDDLE school where the snickers, rumors and hormones run wild.

BTW: judging from the video thumbnails I googled…she seems pretty racist…well, reverse-racist anyway.

    • dennis

how can taking pix of yourself naked can be racist?

  • Darrel

My first comment of the day, and I get “you are posting too quickly slow down” and my post disappears into the ozone. What a dysfunctional system!

  • dennis

I went to Catholic school with nuns. No pix like this when I was in school.
