Father Of 2 Stabbed To Death During Fight At San Bernardino Sports Bar

SAN BERNARDINO (CBS) — Police say a fight at a sports bar in San Bernardino turned deadly early Sunday morning when a 26-year-old man -- and father of two -- was stabbed repeatedly.

The victim, identified as Andy Nath of San Bernardino, reportedly drove to the sports bat to pick up a group of friends who had gotten involved in an altercation.

Nath was stabbed multiple times in the upper torso, say authorities.

Answering a 911 call, police rushed to the parking lot of the Pool Club on S. E Street at about 2 a.m. Nath was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just before 3 a.m.

Nath worked at Home Depot for the past two years -- Thursday, in fact, was his second anniversary. On his facebook page, he excitedly posted just this past January about becoming a father for the second time. "It's the best feeling ever...being a daddy again."

A suspect description was released. Authorities are looking for a Hispanic male, in his late 20s. They say the suspect weighs about 200 pounds. They said he fled the scene with a group of Hispanic males and females in a green Chevy Suburban or Tahoe with chrome wheels.

Police said no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective William Flesher at (909) 384-5655.
