BURBANK (AP) — Burbank police say foul play is suspected in the case of a woman found dead in the passenger seat of a parked car.
Sgt. Mike Parrinello says the body was discovered Friday in a residential neighborhood east of Bob Hope Airport.
Burbank Fire Department personnel were first on the scene and pronounced the woman dead.
The Burbank Leader reported detectives determined the woman died in Los Angeles, and the case was turned over to the LAPD.
The woman is described as a white female in her mid-30s. Her name has not been released.
Parrinello tells the Los Angeles Times that after an initial investigation it was determined that a crime likely occurred.
An autopsy is pending Saturday.
