Body Found In LA River In South Gate
SOUTH GATE (CBS) — Authorities Saturday were investigating the shooting death of a man in South Gate.
Police said in a statement that a body was discovered in the Los Angeles River near Southern Avenue and Burtis Street.
The find was made about 10:20 a.m.
According to authorities, the victim, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The statement says Sheriff's Homicide detectives are assisting the South Gate Police Department with the investigation.
