LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Bobby Brown reportedly broke down Saturday night at a planned concert in Southaven, Mississippi following the news of Whitney Houston’s untimely passing.

According to Us Weekly, the superstar’s ex-husband looked teary-eyed on stage with New Edition at the end of a song.

The 43-year-old then shouted, “I love you, Whitney” before blowing a kiss in the sky, the celebrity magazine reported.

Earlier Saturday, Brown released the following statement:

“First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all. Second, I would like to say, I love you Whitney. The hardest thing for me to do is come on this stage.”

Brown and Houston were married for 15 years.

CNN reported Sunday that Brown was canceling an appearance with New Edition in Nashville and flying to Los Angeles to be with his daughter.

Also Sunday, Brown issued a statement through his attorney. “I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi-Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.”

maybe bobby shouldn’t have introduced her to crack and she would prob still be here

    1. Jennifer says:

Many say Whitney was into drugs before Bobby … she certainly wasn’t squeaky clean before she met him. In any case, may she rest in peace.

  2. greg says:

Now who is he going to beat up?

  3. James says:

That golden vice of Whitney Houston, like Luther Vandross, is no more. She was the best fe. male artist of her generation. And her song I Look To You summarised her last days on earth, like she had an inkling that she would meet her Maker soon. RIP Witney, I will always love you.

  4. Betty Stoope says:

Bobby Brown is solely responsible for Whitney Houston’s demise!!!!! He’s the one who introduced her to doing hard core drugs and single handedly derailed her career and has caused her untimely death!

This womans life took a drastic turn when she met and started a life with Bobby Brown.

Bobby, you’re the worst kind of human being! You’re a narcissist . . . you’ve wasted your own life and now you are seeing the final end to what you’ve done to Whitney. She would still be alive today if she had NEVER met you!

It’s just such a sad ending.

Why? Why did you do this to another human being? Before you met and became involved with Whitney Houston, you were already using drugs and were already an addict. Then you meet her and got her started on doing drugs with you.

You are . . . and will always be a dispicable human being.

    1. RICHARD says:

so your saying that a grown woman at the time that they met had no will or say in what she did?? that he FORCED her to use the drugs?? get real maybe he intorduced her to it, but she DID NOT HAVE TO USE IT. she made that choice all on her own SHE IS SOLEY RESPONSIBLE for her own death and NO ONE ELSE

      1. richard says:

however if he knew she was dead before he went on stage he should have left the show and got on the first plane west to be with his kid and family

  5. sparky says:

Bobby Brown was a big part of Whitney’s problem. Maybe he has finally realized that, now that it is too late to make any difference.

  6. B. Brown fan says:

Bobby Brown should not be blamed for Whitneys choice to use drugs,we all make our own choices and mistakes in life. Please stop blaming Bobby. I love Whitney and Bobby two of the greats…

  7. barbara thompson says:

when i first heard of whitney getting high , i blame it on her husband and then as time went on, i heard that she was doing it all along so maybe it wasnt him who first introduce her to it…but as time go along we have to be responsible for ourselves and be accountable it ourselves.

  8. Robert Hale says:

Now that’s some funny stuff. LMAO.

    1. GROWAPAIR says:

I would suck Bobby Brown’s skin flute just like how his crack wh0re ex-wife Whitney would suck a crack pipe.

    2. GR0APAIR says:

I can’t even get a job. That’s because that aS$wipe lawyer Robert Hale from Hale and Nguyen in Brea couldn’t help me with my case. Now I’m a bitter aS$puck that has a beef with law enforcement and everybody on the internet. I used multiple screen names like [GROW..APAIR], [wg//af], [up//yours], [Mike in San Diego], [Mike in Upland], [1stman] and [kma] so no one can track me down. I challenge people to meet me in front of the Fullerton P.D. station for my protection.

  9. kris says:

Whitney was a grown woman and made her own choices you cannot blame Bobby Brown for what choices she made

  10. lilac says:

Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston-Brown, and Bobbi Kristina Brown — all observed doing cocaine. Tell us again, who is to be blamed for the choices the Browns make. After their break-down dramatics, will Bobby and Bobbi Kristina choose to give it up in honor of the memory of Whitney?

  11. Cindy says:

Bobby Brown should not be blamed? Perhaps the final decision about Whitney’s life was her very own, but Bobby certainly did not help. Sometimes many of us wish she never met him at all. Yeah, may be Whitney was drinking and doing some drugs before meeting Bobby, but his own drug addiction and questionable behavior did not provide a positive support in her life. Instead, he abused her both physically and verbally. What kind of support is that?! When someone in the family is having difficulties with substance abuse and etc…, what they need is someone that loves them and tries to get them help. Standing by their side fighting together to get over the addiction. Bobby Brown did nothing of that sort. Shame on him. It is always tragic when people find out the hard way after loosing someone they love, that they were not there enough to support the person. Our love goes out to Whitney, her daughter, and the family that truely loved her! She is in a better place now.

    1. richard says:

by your analogy of the ones that love you should be a support system when you are hooked on drugs and that if they do not support you like bobby did not support whitney then they are in some way to blame when the drug user dies? that is totally FALSE yes a user needs a support system to help them BUT support system or not it is the persons duty to deal with their issues NOT the familys if the family can and should help but in the end if you die fighting it then it was whitneys fault not anyone elses. by your analogy everyone from her mother to her daughter to her agents and other staff and bobby and dion warwick her aunt i belive it is are all to blame because they did not help her enough I THINK NOT

  12. guest says:

Bobby Brown should be in jail for life

  13. Average Gal says:

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown had absolutely nothing in common.

Whitney was a bright star with a solid up-bringing, she had an amazingly voice, was beautiful and strong woman on the inside and out, she had a genuine and vibrate personality, she had so much well-rounded talent and so much potential. Whitney’s spirit cut across cultures and united people together…and her rendition of the National Anthem will always be #1.

Whitney was dragged down by Bobby Brown, who ultimately turned out to be a self-absorbed wife-abusing, cheating, low-life dead beat with numerous baby mamas, and who lead Whitney to drugs.

    Moral of the story?

Ladies be careful who you choose to love and allow to enter into your life.

Everyone is not worthy of your love or worthy of entering your world personally. You are valuable and special (in a good way), and you deserve someone who respects you, holds you in high esteem and loves you

RIP Whitney…you will “always be loved” and know that your legacy will live on through your daughter, Bobby Kristina.

Hey jerk I bet you wouldn’t say that in front of a mexican, you sound like a coward that would wet his pants the minute a mexican would look at you. You probably eat alot of tacos and burritos too.
