Medical Assistant, 47, Arrested For Allegedly Molesting 3 Patients

LAGUNA HILLS (CBS) — A medical assistant at Saddleback Hospital in Laguna Hills was taken into custody for allegedly molesting three patients.

Narciso Romanes Blando, 47, of Orange was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of sexual assault, according to Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

On Monday night, a patient in her 50s complained to hospital officials, saying that Blando touched her groin area as he was rubbing pain-medication cream on her ankles, Amormino said. The woman said that when she told him to stop, he
complied.

A few hours later, about 1 a.m. Tuesday, another patient in her 50s woke up to find Blando stroking her hair and kissing her face, according to authorities.

"She told him to stop and eventually he did comply," Amormino said.

A third patient also claims that Blando kissed her on the face and stroked her hair.

Blando was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
