TORRANCE (CBS) — Authorities released photographs Thursday of a suspect wanted for severely beating a victim, stealing his cell phone and fleeing on a Torrance Transit Bus.

The man was attacked at 9:25 a.m. on Jan. 17 as he walked at Carson Street and Border Avenue, according to Torrance police Sgt. Steven Jenkinson.

The suspect “violently attacked the victim by punching him on the head and face multiple times, and throwing the victim to the ground, where the physical assault continued,” Jenkinson said.

Police said the suspect took the victim’s cell phone before boarding a city bus. Officers caught up to the bus at 220th Street and Avalon Boulevard in Carson, but the assailant had already exited. Authorities obtained photographs of the man from a bus surveillance camera.

The suspect is described as a black male, 17 to 25 years old, 5’8″ to 5’9″ with a thin build, short hair and clean shaven face. He was last seen wearing a black zip front jacket with a gray stripe running from shoulder to cuff, light blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Torrance Police Detective Division at (310) 618-5599.

Corrupt California DEA where stealing drugs from evidence vaults and reselling them to cover extensive credit card debt.
They also are creating suspects by planting evidence just so that they can steal from them.
Given the choice of suspension or dealing with their debt most DEA are thinking outside the box.

You poor excuses for “newspeople”… You rank amateurs… Have you NEVER heard of the word “allegedly” in connection with a person the police say they are interested. The man you display and label as a “suspect” has not been arrested, much less booked and/or charged with any crime. You have just left yourselves open for a lawsuit. You have arrested, tried and convicted a man who is not even in custody yet. Under the canons of Journalism — a profession with which you are not even REMOTELY connected — you do not enable the police. Just report the facts — if you can do that — and TRY to do it accurately.
