4 Missing Boy Scouts Found Safe After Hiking In Foothills Above Arcadia

(UPDATE 11 p.m. Saturday: The four boys have been found safe, say authorities.)

ARCADIA (CBS) — Authorities are searching for four boy scouts they said are overdue after a hike in the foothills above Arcadia.

Officials are doing an active search.

The ages of the boys is not known.

The hikers were last seen in the area of the Valley Forge campground, about three and a half miles off of the Angeles Crest Highway in the Angeles National Forest.

    I was one of those boy scouts of troop 315 and we weren’t doing a merit badge, just a 10 mile hike for training for a 50 mile hike.
