ANAHEIM (CBS) — A police officer fatally shot a man in the parking lot of a police substation in Anaheim Hills Thursday afternoon.
Just before 1:15 p.m., an officer radioed that he had shot the man in the parking lot of the station in the 8200 block of East Santa Ana Canyon Road, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We did locate a weapon at the scene, which appears to be a knife, but I cannot confirm that,” the sergeant said, adding that the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately known.
