Kwame Leads UC Riverside Past Fullerton 72-61

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) -- Kwame Vaughn scored 28 points, 19 in the second half, and Cal State Fullerton defeated UC Riverside 72-61 Wednesday night.

D.J. Seeley contributed 22 points for the Titans (11-6, 3-2 Big West), who ended a three-game losing streak.

Robert Smith scored 11 points to lead the Highlanders (10-9, 4-2), who had won four in a row. Riverside held a 26-18 lead with 5:30 left in the first half but Fullerton trimmed that lead to 28-27 by halftime. The Titans began the second half on an 11-3 run and led the rest of the way.

The Highlanders got within 64-59, but Seeley's 3-pointer stemmed Riverside's momentum. Seeley made 4 of 6 from behind the arc.
