ALHAMBRA (CBS) — A bomb threat was called into Alhambra High School Friday but was later determined not to be a credible threat.

The threat was called in just before noon to the school at 101 South Second Street.

According to officials, a school resource officer alerted the threat to Alhambra police and the school was placed on lockdown.

Students and staff were later moved to the high schools’ track field as police searched the school for an explosive device, officials said.

Students were permitted back onto the campus at shortly past 2:30 p.m.

School wont let kids leave, students are over heated and hungery parents are outside gates buying water

  3. Gil says:

The school can’t release the students until it is determined to be safe for them to do so. I imagine these poor babies would rather be a little hot and safe than the alternative.

i believe that the school wasnt well prepared.
i as a senor at alhambra high school thought that it was very nice of the parents to bring us water. some of them brought chips and sandwhiches. others brougth pizza but it wasnt enough for all of us.
i personally think its funny how all this happened on friday the 13th.
whoever pulled this off must have been at home bored with nothing to do but call in a bomb threat and have us, ALHAMBRA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, stand in the hot sun for three hours.
    not cool! -.-
i thank god its over and we’re safe.
